Free recycling opportunity for MK SMEs

Milton Keynes SMEs can now recycle paper, card, cans and plastic bottles free of charge

Release date: 10/09/2007

Recognising that smaller businesses don’t always have the space to store the quantities of recycled materials necessary for collection by waste contractors or recycling schemes, Milton Keynes Council has agreed that they can now deliver this to its Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) in Wolverton.

Businesses can bag up and deliver waste cardboard, paper, magazines, newspapers, steel and aluminium cans, clean aluminium foil, and plastic bottles – in fact, any item that is accepted by the household kerbside collection service.

Manager of the MRF, Alex Cutts, says: “Provided there isn’t more a couple of van loads in one week, we’d be happy to have businesses deliver this kind of waste to us for recycling.”

For more information or to talk through delivery of larger quantities, please contact Alex Cutts at the MRF on 01908 225000.
