Tree Charity seeks help from Bedford businesses

Bedford Tree Fund charity aims to maintain green spaces in Bedford

Release date: 06/02/2013

Just launched is The Bedford Tree Fund, which is an independent charity working to promote the planting and upkeep of trees in parks, streets and open spaces across the Borough of Bedford.

The charity is stressing the urgent need to plant more trees to counteract the effects of drought and disease, and also to replace many of the trees that are nearing the end of their natural lives.

Louise Williams of the Bedford Tree Fund says: “Supporting the Fund would be an excellent way to show your company’s ‘green’ credentials by ensuring that your corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities are known to your customers and suppliers, improving your company’s image and having a positive impact on the local environment and community.”
